| TOP DRIVE RIGS: BAUER BG-40
The BG-40 is a hydraulic top drive drilling
rig with a single rotary head. This rig produces 293,000
ft-lbs of torque. With a weight of 340,000 lbs., this
machine provides the torque and crowd to allow penetration
into the hardest geologic formations. With its complement
of specialized drill tools this rig easily drills through
cobbles and boulders, caliche, and soft to medium rock.
The machine is capable of drilling 2.8M shafts up to
118 ft in depth utilizing a fully interlocking telescoping
Kelly.
