Malcolm’s Mega CFA Piles at Elysee Tower
The Miami waterfront will soon be home to The Elysee Tower, a new 57-story luxury condominium tower that will be the tallest structure to date in the East Edgewater neighborhood. The Elysee’s unique and stunning three-tiered design will provide every residence with a 180-degree bay and city view through floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding glass doors. The telescoping design of The Elysee is borderline whimsical, but there’s nothing playful about the foundation. The 650-foot-high landmark structure will rest on 261 CFA Mega Piles. All piles have to carry high vertical loads and will, therefore, be socketed deep into the limestone foundation layer. Malcolm used a 300-ton crane equipped with a Bermingham lead system to install these CFA Mega Piles. The Elysee tower expects to open its doors in 2019.
