The 50-year-old steam plant at the Loma Linda University Health hospital needed a significant foundation upgrade to bring it up to current building codes and prepare for a pending transformer replacement. Much of the work for this OSHPD retrofit needed to be performed inside and immediately surrounding the operating steam plant. Tight site access and low headroom were major challenges.
