Drilled Shafts at Echelon Towers
Tishman Contractors and Boyd Gaming selected Malcolm Drilling to utilize its state-of-the-art fleet of top-drive hydraulic drill rigs to construct the foundation piles for the 3,300-room Echelon Resort in Las Vegas. This development would host two upscale hotels, a 2,600-room Resort Tower, and a 700-room Suite Tower. The foundation package for the Resort consisted of 244 drilled shafts, of which 189 were 6 feet in diameter and averaged 117 feet in length. Malcolm completed all of the shafts in 29 working days, averaging over 700 cubic yards of concrete per day.
