Minutes after the completion of their last home game of the 2005 season, demolition commenced on the existing Stanford stadium structure in order to build a new stadium complex. The schedule required that the new stadium was to be completed for the opening game of the 2006 football season. Schedules were highly compressed for all contractors working on the project.
General Contractor Vance Brown selected Malcolm Drilling for the installation of the drilled piers and gave them the challenge of completing their work within a very tight schedule. Malcolm rose to the challenge and completed the 598 drilled shafts (18, 349 Lf) 20 days ahead of schedule.
