Unique Shoring

Malcolm recently completed a large temporary shoring project at 1120 Denny Way in Seattle, Washington. The unique shotcrete system is a method commonly used in Canada, but it was a first for the Seattle area. The system includes 435 vertical elements and nearly 108,000 square feet of reinforced temporary shotcrete. The shored perimeter totals 1,300 linear feet, it is 4 inches thick, 83 feet high and supports major city streets on all four sides of the site, as well as a historic park.

Malcolm’s superior project execution helped them achieve world record anchor drilling production rates and exceptional production performance on reinforced shotcrete facing installations.
