Position: Project Manager

Location: Irwindale, California

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Estimate and manage civil projects with deep foundations, retention systems, ground improvement, and dewatering scope.
  • Conduct site visits to assess site conditions.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
  • Prepare take-offs, cost estimates, bid proposals, and budgets.
  • Negotiate construction contracts with legal support.
  • Prepare project submittals including design calculations and specialty equipment specifications.
  • Manage field quality and cost control.
  • Implement required safety measures.
  • Prepare project billings and close out project paperwork.
  • Attend company-wide training.

Qualifications for Project Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in civil or geotechnical engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites within the district.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • 2 years of project management experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
