Installing Retention Systems: Bollenbach Residence Landslide Mitigation

The Bollenbach Residence project in Los Angeles involved landslide mitigation work including Malcolm Drilling installing over 100,000 square feet of temporary shoring up to 85 feet deep, 150 soldier piles, and over 300 high-capacity tie-backs along with significant braced shoring. Re-grading work for 3 new residential lots included the excavation of over 200,000 cubic yards of soil and the construction of over 50,000 square feet of permanent retaining walls. The 40-foot high wall was constructed using a combination of conventional cantilever beams and specialty deadman supported drilled piles.
