CFA Mega Piles
Through the Dual Media Filters Phases 3 & 4 CMGC Project, Clark County Water Reclamation District (CCWRD) of Las Vegas, Nevada sought to improve their existing facilities. This project included the construction of a new Filters Building, UV Disinfection Expansion, and Filter Influent Pump Station. As part of the new structure’s deep foundations, three and four-foot diameter drilled piles up to 80 feet in depth were used. As a result of Malcolm Drilling recommending CFA/Augercast methods, the owner was able to save about 40% on costs and 50% on schedule when the piles were installed.
