The Consumnes River Bridge project consisted of replacing the Cosumnes River bridge and Overflow bridge on SR-99 in Elk Grove, CA with two new bridge structures. The structure replacement was needed due to age, wear, and outdated design.
Malcolm Drilling’s scope consisted of installing Cased Drilled Shafts up to 145 feet in depth and 7 feet in diameter.
To meet and exceed an aggressive schedule, Malcolm had two separate operations running concurrently, a total of 2 Bauer BG 50 drilling rigs connected to Oscillators, and 4 cranes.
