Diplomat Tower 100 | 28-Story Residential Tower
CFA piles offered an efficient solution for this project by minimizing soil disturbance and vibrations, crucial in a densely populated coastal area like South Florida. Furthermore, CFA piles offer large capacities and rapid installation. For The Diplomat Tower 100 (28 Story apartment building) in Hallandale Beach, FL this technique required additional lateral resistance which was provided by installing CFA piles at a batter which allowed lateral loads to be carried axially. Piles were installed using a rotary drill rig which could rapidly advance through the limestone on the project. Over 700 piles with diameters ranging from 14 to 24 inches were installed on the project.
