Rocky Reach Dam

At first glance, the Rocky Reach Dam project looked like an easy job for Malcolm Drilling. Upon further examination, it became clear that it was anything but. All drilled piles had to be installed 20ft into hard rock but first through an average of 100ft water. Access was limited and only sectional barges could be utilized. We used a combination of a Bauer BG25 drilling rig with a Leffer Oscillator mounted on several custom-made platforms. Only this combination enabled us to install these 24 and 36in dolphin piles in these challenging conditions on time and within budget.
